Our Shipping FAQ

Shipping FAQ Important Information For Our Customers In The UK

What happened to free shipping?

Though we had a free shipping policy in place since the beginning, unfortunately it had to come to an end due to the rate of price increases. To be able to keep our product prices as low as possible, we are unable to provide anymore discounts like in the form of free shipping.

What happened to the shipping costs?

Due to the inflation rate we were forced to adapt our shipping costs according to the real costs. The rate of price increases concerning our warehouse, packaging materials and actual shipping costs has been dramatic and an update of our shipping costs has been long overdue. Though rest assured that we have no gain in these, they really reflect the actual costs only.

I am in a country within the European Union. Where do you ship from and how about customs clearance?

We ship from our warehouse in Austria, and with such an intra-Community supply of goods no customs clearance is involved.

I am in a country outside the European Union. What do I have to expect from customs when importing a delivery from you?

All our exports from the European Union come with a proper customs declaration, which names the content by nature (like "stainless steel fittings"). There is nothing to worry about, because none of the products we sell are subject to any reporting requirements or trade restrictions.

Can you declare a different value for customs clearance?

No, that would be unlawful. We have to provide a proper customs declaration and copies of the invoice for ensuring the correct export from the European Union and import to the country of destination, otherwise we would not be able to export tax-free. Low-value shipments are usually cleared customs-free, please contact your local customs for details.

How about shipping risk and transport insurance?

Each postal package is automatically insured up to a certain value depending on the chosen shipping option. Shipping risk has to be born by you, we are not responsible for transportation, but organize it on your behalf. An additional transport insurance is difficult to handle, and has to be ordered by you separately. For larger shipments we recommend choosing freight forwarding instead, which will be insured to the total value of the shipment.
